Dangote is ranked by Forbes magazine as the 67th richest person in the world and the richest in Africa. He surpassed Saudi-Ethiopian billionaire Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi in 2013 by over $2.6 billion to become the world’s richest person of African descent. Even after being the top world loser of the Forbes annual World’s Billionaires list, which was released on Monday 2nd march 2015. This drop was due to currency devaluation and falling demand for cement, yet he’s still the wealthiest person in Africa and not just Nigeria.
